Conceited presents Wintergreen and The Postcards live at the Pleasure Unit, 27th October 05
And another gig and club night is over, after months of constant emailing and nail biting last minute panic.
Every time we walk into a venue to set it up for the night – and this is the second time that this happens – there is always that feeling of thrill mixed to anxiety which once again turned into utter relief in the end…and because of YOU people who came along to see the bands and to have a dance to the new and old indie school of music.
We had a great time and I hope you all did as well!
We danced to the bitter end to the sound of The Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the UK". And then there was the group of drunken people bouncing everywhere and jumping at everything. Bless them!
The bands were superb and their sets offered the most interesting mix of jangle and edgy indie guitars with dreamy electronic and pop overtones. The bands seemed happy.. and not just with the outcome. The red faces of some of the members of The Postcards suggested merry pre-gig drunkenness.
A big “Thank you”, and not in order of importance, goes to:
Wintergreen
The Postcards
The Djs Barry and Jake
To the Pleasure Unit for having us there
To all the friends who gave us good positive vibes
And you great people who came along and gave us another great opportunity to prove ourselves!
Click on the link in this page and you will be able to view the photos of the night.
See you in January
Liz and Jan
